Following the South Korean government’s determined push to supoort and encourage Fintech development, announced in late October, the country’s Fintech startups are looking to gain a foothold in China.

한국정부는 핀테크산업 발전을 위해 많은 지원을 한 결과 지난 2016년 19월에 한국의 핀테크 신생기업들이 중국에 진출할 발판을 찾고 있다.

The event, titled “Fintech Demo Day in Beijing”, was funded by the South Korean government and saw the country’s industry startups showcase technologies such as a mobile wallet, biometric identification, and a robo-adviser, among other services.

"베이징 핀테크 데모의 날" 이라는 타이틀의 이벤트는 한국정부가 지원 하였으며 산업신생기업들의 핸드폰지갑, 생체인증 식별, 로보어드바이저, 등의 기술쇼케이스를 볼수있다.

The Fintech Center also reportedly signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the operator of the industrial zone in Chengdu, the capital city of China’s Sichuan province.

소식에 의하면 핀테크센터 역시 중국 신천 지방의 수도인 쳉두 의 공업지역 운영자와 MOU를 체결하였다. 

The Financial Services Commission (FSC), the South Korean government’s foremost financial regulator, is spearheading the country’s Fintech endeavor. The MOU will establish a sweeping Fintech cooperation with China, the FSC claimed.

한국의 가장중요한 금융규제기관인 금융위원회 핀테크를 중요하시 하고 있다. 금융위원회는 MOU가 중국과 광범위한 핀테크 협력을 이룰것이라고 전했다.

The Beijing “Demo Day” is the last of several events held by South Korea’s FSC around the world. Previously, demo day events have been held in Singapore, Cambodia, London and Silicon Valley.

베이징 "데모데이"(사업아이디어발표날) 는 한국 금융위원회가 전세계에서 계최한 몇가지 이벤트중 가장최근의 일이다. 이전에는 싱가폴,캄보디아,런던 그리고 실리콘 벨리에서 데모데이를 개최한바 있다.

“[The government] plans to continue such fintech demo day events in 2017,” the FSC reportedly stated.

Spurred on by the government, Seoul could soon become a Fintech hub in Asia.

금융위에 의하면 한국 정부는 핀테크 데모데이 행사를 2017년에 지속적으로 계획하고있다고 한다. 정부는 아시아에서 서울을 핀테크의 허브로 만들기위해 박차를 가하고 있다.

The mandate will see a digital currency system established in 2017 institutionally, as South Korea looks to introduce regulations for bitcoin the same year.

한국은 비트코인에 대한 규제를 2017년 소개할 예정이므로 권한자는 2017년에 제도적으로 디지털 환율 시스템의 설립을 볼수 있을것이다.

The government has already announced Fintech collaborations with Singapore and Indonesia.

한국정부는 싱가폴과 인도네시아 와의 핀테크합작을 선언한바 있다.

A notable example is that of Shinhan Bank – one of South Korea’s largest financial institutions – that will begin a bitcoin-powered remittance service between Korea and China before the end of 2016.

2016년이 끝나기전에 한국과 중국 사이에서 주목할만한 핀테크 합작의 예로는 한국의 가장큰 금융기관인 신한은행이 비트코인 송금 시스템을 시작하였다.
